This place looks like a hole-in-the wall--totally unassuming. BUT it epitomizes taqueria cuisine. I used to eat here all the time when I lived here and always loved the food. The Navy transferred me away in 2006 and I didn't have the opportunity to return until today. It's exactly the same. The neighborhood has gentrified and construction is happening all around, but Benny's is an anchor that holds Golden Hills to its roots. Sorry it took me so long to return, I'll try not to wait 17 years for my next visit.

Best breakfast burrito I have had in a long time! Okay, so I have lived in the Goldenhills for over a year and frequent the street that Benny’s is on. My fiancée and I have spoke about Benny’s before about how this place has stood the test of time and been around forever but yet we have not gone. Today, after getting coffee at the Coffee Drop (do it, you won’t regret it) the owner Evan recommended their breakfast burrito and was raving about how good it was. We decided to try it for ourselves on our way home and I think we’re hooked. We cannot wait to explore the rest of their menu and support another local business!

Very good taco shop. My wife and I stopped in here on our way to the zoo and got breakfast burritos, they were delicious. Everyone was so nice it made our experience more enjoyable. Don’t judge a book by its cover, the food and people here are excellent.

A great hole in the wall restaurant. There were 5 of us that ordered and all our food was really good. Big portions at a good price. This is an order at the counter, pick up your food at the counter when it is ready kind of place. No frills here, just good food.

Absolute fire local spot. May not be the absolute best of everything around, but nothing is bad and they are consistent and quick. Pastor > carne asada imho, and the fish tacos are excellent as well. I order here multiple times a week and they always come thru.
